![]() If i drive at 45-50+ km/h on city roads in the rain, i don't need to use the wipers. the coating was applied in sept/oct last year and hasn't degraded. i use the wipers and there is no chatter. I've had mine on all the exterior windows (windshield, rear window, side windows) and mirrors. This is not the case for the rain repellent that I put on my client's vehicles and my own. Rain-X and Aquapel are not window cleaners. They are very harmful to paint to use it sparingly and keep it away from the body panels. Of course, you will have to clean the cream afterwards. To clean really, really bad stains (like fossilized bird poop), you can use cream-based cleaners like Bon Ami or Barkeeper's Friend to scour the stains off. For extra cleaning power, you can make it a 25/25/50 rubbing alcohol/vinegar/water solution. In a pinch, mixing 50/50 water/vinegar will work for basic cleaning as well. The idea is to get a thin film on the glass to eliminate streaking. The formulation is the same either way, but it's easier to dispense in the aerosol can. Using rain repellant would be nice, but not critical if it takes away from the cleanliness of the glass. Cost doesn't matter as they're all very similar priced. So is it recommended to use the rain repellant on outside windows, and use something completely different for inside?Ĥ) I know Invisible Glass says its tint safe, but is rain-x tint safe?ĥ) Overall, can someone just simply tell me which products I should use and for where (inside vs. Some say this works great, others say to use the below products instead.Ģ) Is there any difference between the aerosol van version of Invisible Glass versus the spray bottle?ģ) On the CDN Tire website, it says the stoner invisible glass rain repellant shouldn't be used on the inside windows. I did a lot of searches on RFD, and read the customer reviews. I came down to these few, but then got super confused: I never paid attention to proper detailing products until recently and would like some input on the following:ġ) Which products to use for windshields/side windows? I just want something from CDN Tire that'll work. Just trying to properly clean my old acura before i give it away to my uncle.
